I spy some Kobra street art!
If you want to find some of the best pieces in NYC, I always recommend visiting Bushwick, Brooklyn (home to the Bushwick Collective) and the Lower East Side. I offer private street art tours of Bushwick and I also recommend Inside Out Tour's Alternative New York Street Art Tour: Lower East Side.
Can you believe that Fall is here and that Spring tours are already booking? My schedule is filling up fast from March through June! If you would like to book a tour and are visiting during the Spring 2019 months, please send an email request ASAP so I may put those dates on hold for your group.
On a side note:
I am in LOVE with my new business cards. Send me a message and I will personally mail one to you!
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry
BY WALT WHITMAN
Flow on, river! flow with the flood-tide, and ebb with the ebb-tide!
Frolic on, crested and scallop-edg’d waves!
Gorgeous clouds of the sunset! drench with your splendor me, or the men and women generations after me!
Cross from shore to shore, countless crowds of passengers!
Stand up, tall masts of Mannahatta! stand up, beautiful hills of Brooklyn!
Throb, baffled and curious brain! throw out questions and answers!
Suspend here and everywhere, eternal float of solution!
Gaze, loving and thirsting eyes, in the house or street or public assembly!
Can you believe that I lived in NYC for 9 years and had NEVER been to Governors Island? It has been on my bucket list of things I need to do in NYC this year and I finally decided to go check it out! What better reason than to celebrate Halloween?
This year the RISE of the Jack O'Lanterns had a special event on Governors Island called "Night of a 1,000 Jack O'Lanterns". I will say, I really don't think there were 1,000 pumpkins. More like 200. But the event was a lot of fun and the ferry views of Lower Manhattan, Brooklyn Bridge, and NJ were AMAZING.
Speaking of the ferry, it's open year round. For adults it's only $2 to Ride the ferry and it's totally free on weekends! And children are always free! The views of NYC are spectacular, so I highly recommend taking the time to visit.
I had the pleasure of having Native New Yorker and wine connoisseur, Ron Kapon, attend my Midtown Architectural Tour with Inside Out Tours. He wrote a great review on his blog!

If you watch Sex and the City, you will definitely recognize this NYC staple! The world renowned Magnolia Bakery.
Magnolia Bakery is famous for their cupcakes and their banana pudding recipe. I will admit, I was a banana pudding skeptic. However, on one of my recent tours, our group insisted on trying some and we all agreed- the pudding was AMAZING!!
I also love the fact that Magnolia Bakery is NYC based- all started in their West Village location in 1996. What's not to love?
We might be getting an exciting new skyscraper in NYC called The Big Bend! Architecture studio oiio has a new design that would become the "longest building in the world" with elevators that can run horizontally. What?!?!
